BSshowcase – Supporting Bristol’s Underground Music Scene

Growing up in Bristol, music has always been a huge part of the culture around me. With so many friends involved in the underground music scene, I wanted to contribute in my own way. That’s how BSshowcase was born—a platform dedicated to creating music videos for aspiring artists who didn’t have access to professional video equipment.

Bringing Visuals to the Sound

BSshowcase was never a full-time project, but rather a passion-driven side venture that tied into my love for creativity. I used my skills in digital art, video production, and editing to help local artists showcase their talent visually. The goal was to provide an accessible way for emerging musicians to share their work, gain exposure, and have professional-quality music videos without financial barriers.

Bristol’s Underground Scene – A Creative Hub

Bristol’s music scene is deeply rooted in diversity, from hip-hop and grime to drum & bass and reggae. Being part of this creative energy has always felt natural, and BSshowcase was my way of giving back to the community that has inspired me for so long. The project allowed me to collaborate with a range of artists, each bringing their own unique style and sound to the platform.

Final Thoughts

Though BSshowcase was a side project, it was an incredible experience to blend my visual art skills with music. Supporting local talent and contributing to Bristol’s underground scene in my own way reinforced my passion for all things creative. While the platform isn’t active today, its spirit lives on in my approach to collaboration and visual storytelling.
